I know from finding his marriage license he wrote down as having been a Corporal in the 1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment in 1926 or earlier (married in Bombay) and his father was Joseph Davies. His wife was Rosie Elizabeth Cope. They were in Deolali, India in 1927 and were back in England sometime between 1927-1930. Birmingham South, Warwickshire, England in 1930.

What I don't know is if he was also apart of the Hong Kong reserves as my research first found that military card for 1914-1915 serving on 4 ships but that is only via his name (which maybe a different George). I don't know if he was just a boy entering into the military and lied about his age. Just been difficult hunting down the English side of this Davies line.

I'd love to know the military side of things for George and really anything as to his family (parents, siblings, grand parents, etc). Also would be interested in why Rosie was in Bombay during that time posted above.

Thanks,
ShaneG.
