Its been some time since I last logged on here, so appologies for that.
The reason for the post is that I have come across an obituary of William Hickton and cross-referenced with the BBC Tree

This is the obituary, from page 3 the Country Express, dated 02/09/1939:
I found it at Dudley Archives on microfilm using their microfilm readers.
So it turns out that he was a professional footabller, which is interesting to me. Maybe worth adding to his BBC notes.
I would be interested if anything else comes to light. I'm not related to him, just have an interest in football history.
