ARC TBC Harriett Harding b1860

Postby Mrs.S2012 » Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:12 pm

Hey all,
I'm trying to find records for my great great grandmother Harriett Harding.
I think she was born in Shoreditch around 1860, she married my great great grandfather in 1877 in Limehouse, London.
They had nine children and lived around the Limehouse and Bromley area according to the 1881/91, 1901 and 1911 census records, I'm not sure when she died.
I'd like to find out who her parents were but although there are several birth records for a Harriett Harding for around that year I've no idea which is the correct one. Her father's name would be a massive help but although it appears on the marriage record I cannot for the life of me make out the writing! I don't know if someone else on here could have a look, I found the record on Ancestory but the writing is really hard to make out :?: :?: :?:
If I could only figure out her father's name I might have something to go on!
Any help and advice is welcomed :P

Marriage took place at St John, Limehouse Fields, Tower Hamlet on 7 October 1877. (says 79 on the transcript but looks like a 77 on the record to me)
Between;
Matthew Fitzgerald age 19 ?Labourer? residence 31 Holly ??? Father Henry Fitzgerald.
Harriett Harding age 18 residence 31 Holly?? Father ??? Harding
Looking at it again I think it could be Daniel Harding but what do others think?

I did find a baptism record from 1862 for Harriett Harding and father was Nathaniel?? Am I clutching at straws here??

Yes Rose Fitzgerald was my great nan.
So could possibly be a Nathaniel? I think it looks more like a Daniel possibly but I can't find any birth or baptism records for a Harriett Harding with a Daniel as a father :(

'It looks her father died when she was young, perhaps she wasn't sure of his name.

actually yes now you've said that it does look very different from the other Daniel written, so maybe not a Daniel?
