Struggle at cooking? Deconstruction is your friend.

Watching numerous cooking shows over the years, I notice that de-constructed meals often crop up. Therefore if you struggle with preparing complex meals, then go de-constructed instead.

Even something simple sounding like Lasagna can be a problem, takes time to build the layers, get correct consistancy, use the right ingredients, one mistake is to use mince with a high fat percentage without browning it off first, resulting in a lasagna swimming in fat.

This is how lasagna should look, Image

But of course it can end up looking like this.

If your cooking ends up looking more of a disaster and just a plate of mess, then why not go for the deconstructed look. Have people over for dinner and cook deconstructed Lasagna!

put water on to boil, cook mince, fry or microwave, while the mince is cooking add sheets of pasta to boiling water. Once mince is cooked, drain all the fat off, in a clean pan or bowl add the lasagna sauce, for better effect split half the mince and add a white sauce to one half and tomato to the other, leave to simmer for a few minutes, take pasta out, lay on plate then get creative with the mince for example place either side of plate with gap in middle, fill gap with grated cheese. serve with side salad.

Quicker to make and looks more appealing than a failed sloppy mess. experiment with other complex meals and you may be surprised at the results!
Hit a Brickwall? Have you lost all trace of someone? Do not despair, simply make a note they were abducted by aliens! Don't believe in aliens? No problem, just write them off as having disapeared in a time portal
