Just made some

hmmmmm not very good

10 oz Plain flour
5 oz marg
30z lard
6oz sugar
van essence cap
2-and half rolled oats

cream fat and sugar
add flour and oats
roll into balls
put on greased tray flatten slightly
bake 160 c fan 10 mins

or should I roll the balls in the oats

supposed to make 10 but I think they are too thick with 10
and another recipe with 1/2 qties says it makes 30

I used to make these with nursery children.I used cornflakes to roll them in (the cakes, not the children!!), not oats.

Might work better with a couple of cups of oats rather than just 2 and half rolled oats they wont go far
