So who's having Haggis?

Postby SRD » Wed Jan 25, 2012 8:04 am

We will be, accompanied by mashed potato and swede, which I dislike, so I shall also be doing a mash of two parts carrots and one part parsnip with a few green peppercorns stirred into it. A nip of an Islay malt to wash it down, although, due to their allegiances against 'the auld enemy', the Scots are partial to a drop of claret as well.
I picked up a cheap pack of smoked salmon in the supermarket yesterday so we'll have smoked salmon and scrambled egg for lunch in an effort to maintain the Scottish theme.

Won't be having it this year - but I do enjoy it, especially with mashed potato and swede.
There's no place like home ......

Only had it once, loved it.
I was at a conference in Glasgow - my danish collegues thourght I'd be their interpretter, all I'm saying is they don't speak like on Taggart!!
We all went out the last evening for Haggis with all the trimmings.
The seafood in Glasgow was very good too, ate pounds of the stuff!
