Please post your Parish Look ups or Archives Look up requests in this section.

If you have more of a general query please post in the main genealogy section on the main board or the black country one if that is more relevant-
this area is specifically for Archives requests.
If you are after a Birth or Death Certificate then you would have to contact the appropriate Register Office.
The archives only have Church Ceremonies ie Bapts Burials and Church Marriages.
Any Marriages at a Regis Office you would need to contact them.

Go to new Topic....

And In the subject put the title that will help folk instantly see what type of look up you need.
eg Clent Marriage Look up then the day /month/ year and the actual church.
Plus of course the peoples names who married

Some people may, if they have time and are going to the archives, be able to help.

Plus many of our members have access to a wide range of resources- eg Ancestry, Find my past, transcribed parish registers etc etc.
(Please look at that section the Look up Offers first to see if a member has a resource that can help you and pm them with request).

Should you no longer require the look up/information please let us know so that no one wastes their time.

When you receive the information that has been kindly found could you please put the words Completed in the subject title
and we can move it to the archived section.
Also a thank you is always nice

Please be aware that the software licenses for many CD Rom and similar census resources specifically state that they may only be used for personal or private research. Please consult all relevant software licenses before posting your findings in this forum.
If you are posting any information found, please ensure you do not breach any copyright restrictions and do not just "lift" the information from say ancestry or IGI. Submit in an appropriate format.

To err is only human so you may be advised to check the information found yourself too, and should you wish information sooner than can be offered then it may be advisable to contact the archives direct.

Many Thanks
