Thanks very much for the look up. I'm pretty sure that Eliza was telling lies when she says she was a spinster on that marriage. I have her maiden name as Eliza Broad, father was John Broad a brick maker on her first marriage to a Richard Hawkins in 1854, he died 1858, then she married Thomas Langdell in 1863 and their children all have Mother's maiden name as Broad on their birth registrations.
