Bostock

Postby Robyn » Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:45 am

Good morning,
I'm searching for a marriage and a birth with mother's maiden name. I'm struggling with this one. Looks like a number of marriages.
Frederick Bostock a stone mason married widow Emily Mason, Biddulph in 1864. I've found the family in the 1871 Census. In 1873 Emily had twin boys Henry and Fred Bostock. Henry died a few weeks after birth and is buried in Key Hill Cemetery. Emily died in 1877 and also buried in Key Hill. Baby Fred survived. The 1881 Census shows another wife for Frederick named Eliza but young Fred aged 2 should be 7/8? The is also a daugther Sophia she is Hannah Sophia Bostock born in 1881 and she would be Eliza's daughter. Could someone find a marriage for Frederick and Eliza ?? and also the mother's name for Sophia. This would help me tremendously. Thank you.

Good morning Jimmy,
I apologise for not replying sooner. This latest message relating to Bostock twins, in particular Frank and Henry with mother's maiden name of Wootton really has set me thinking. I must have the incorrect mother as Mason/Biddulph. Back to the drawing board for me then. Could you tell me please from the GRO if they had a son born in Birmingham in 1864 by the name of Thomas Frederick Bostock? I've found him in 1871 living with Frederick Bostock and Emily Bostock.
I am most grateful for your help. Thank you.
