Irish records

Postby Katykat » Thu Nov 07, 2019 8:19 pm

Im just beginning my husbands grandfathers tree. I suspect I wont get very far as his great grandparents were born in Ireland although they were married in England. I have their marriage certificate of 1878 which gives me their fathers names but where should I go from here? Would there be any parish records that survive? ( County Galway and Mayo)
