John William Taylor

Postby SRD » Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:08 am

I have a John William Taylor b. 24th February 1895 (according to 1939 Register & England & Wales Death Index).
In December quarter 1918 he married Maud Brooker registered in Windsor (according to England & Wales Marriage Index).

The 1939 Index has him as an Assistant Butcher.

But I can't find his actual Birth Registration or Census Records for 1901 & 1911.

Can anyone find those records for me please?

Going to need more info to stand a chance of helping. Any clue where he would have been apart from the marriage in Windsor?

Accessing his marriage certificate would give his Father's name and occupation, that could help enormously, and may well have other relatives as witnesses.

GRO website - www.gro.gov.uk gives possible births

Do you know that his can't be any of those births? If so, how?

Thanks, but I only have the info I gave.
My situation prevents me from purchasing certificate copies.
Sometimes the Staffies here have access to info I don't or have better search techniques and dig out stuff I've missed. It's that help I rely on to clear up these little problems.
