10 July 1885

Postby Silver surfer » Tue Feb 14, 2017 6:35 pm

Have just started a bit more research on my Danks family and have found (someones research on ancestry) that my Solomon Danks 1826-1903 lost 3 sisters, Hagar, Sarah and Martha all on the same day, 10 July 1885. :( Anyone know what might have happened? Anything in the papers?

Just had a quick look and think Martha may have married so I think ancestrys wrong as other sisters probably married so wouldn't be Danks surname. More investigation needed I think.

If you have year of death +/- 2 years, www.gro.gov.uk is more useful than the excellent FreeBMD (I've taken to using both FreeBMD and www.gro.gov.uk)

Think this persons research is totally wrong but I did have one of the deaths as 1885. Just have to do a bit more digging. Just goes to show you cant take others research at face value.
