ARC TBC Amos Brown parentage

Postby SRD » Wed Sep 04, 2013 10:38 am

I have an Amos Brown, b 1859 to William & Fanny, baptised in St Mary's Horsham on 20th February 1859. Can anyone find the 1861 Census record for them please?

His parent's marriage may come from two possible entries:
Marriages Jun 1847 (>99%)
BROWN William Horsham 7 571
KNIGHT Ellen Horsham 7 571
Rapley Fanny Horsham 7 571
Tayler William Horsham 7 571
(The other couple on the entry have been eliminated)

Marriages Jun 1847 (>99%)
BROWN William Horsham 7 573
Greenfield Mary Horsham 7 573
Parsons Fanny Horsham 7 573
THORNTON Henry Horsham 7 573

But I can't work out which is the one I'm looking for.
I've tried cross checking 'til I'm seeing everything at least twice, would someone be kind enough to have a look at it and come up with some ideas?

Thanks.

I've had a look SRD in the 1861 census but I can't find the family either. Found them in other census but not 1861.

They seem to have vanished off the face of the earth for 20 years then come back with a completely different family. No trace of deaths either.

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?
