Have you tried going from? It says Ann had 6 children 5 still living -- Ernest Annie and Thomas are three living -- can you find the rest?

1911
BESWICK, Isaac Head Married M 53 1858 Farmer Staff Pottiers
BESWICK, Ann Wife Married25 years F 57 1854 Cheshire Wild Boar Clough
BESWICK, Ernest Son Single M 12 1899 Working On Farm Staff Quarnford

If Thomas and James were twins they would have been recorded as births in the same quarter and don't appear to have been

BESWICK, Ernest Son Single M 11 1890 Attending School Quarnford, Staffordshire
BESWICK, Clement Son Single M 10 1891 Attending School Quarnford, Staffordshire

1891 Hill, Quarnford

BESWICK, Ann Wife Married F 34 1857 Wincle, Cheshire
BESWICK, Florence Mary Daughter F 4 1887 Quarnford, Staffordshire
BESWICK, James Henry Son M 3 1888 Quarnford, Staffordshire
BESWICK, Ernest Son M 2 1889 Quarnford, Staffordshire
BESWICK, Clement Son M 0 (4M) 1891 Quarnford, Staffordshire

Looking at the original for 1901 and the way the enumerator wrote I wouldn't be surprised if he had misread his own notes -- see Thomas on next page -- and presumably notes would not have been in his best writing!

Thankyou I have just been looking through StaffordshireBMD and here is what I found:
Florence Mary 1886
Thomas Henry 1887
Ernest 1889
Clement 1891
Annie 1895
all born Longnor, Newcastle Under Lyme....and no James Henry!! So it seems he probably didnt exist and was just like you said that the notes were misread, specially as Thomas was Thomas HENRY
So if he didnt exist then i'm a child missing..cant find a death for Florence Mary either yet :?

Florence Mary may have married as she is not with the family 1911

I think I found her with Grandparents in 1901 -- I will have another look

As I get further back the name Beswick seems to have come from Bestwick I have the grandparents as Thomas Bestwick and Sarah..possible maiden name Slack? My great grandmother was Annie Beswick Her daughter, my grandmother also Annie is still alive born 1919! From this I am sure that this is Florence :)

Found this today by googling would you believe...Curiosity Fox I think it was called:
I am trying to find information about my gggrandparents Henry and Mary Anne Tunnicliff who lived at Flash Bottom farm between 1904 and 1921. Also daughter of the above Florence tunnicliff who married Albert thomas Kidd and lived at the old flash post office at Saltswell. florence did the weather reports for the air ministry and was a VIP guest at the opening of Ringway airport Manchester. Nellie Tunnicliff also Daughter of Henry & Mary Anne married Thomas Beswick of Underhill farm in Flash they had 3 children Alice, Nancy, and Clement. Nellie died aged only 37. Kate Ann Tunnicliff who married Joseph Burton who we believe lived in Flash or Hollingsclough, and also Buxton. We are also researching the Tunnicliff's of Wilshaw Bottom, Hollingsclough who lived there between 1700's up to about 1930. Henry above was born and grew up there. If you have any information please contact me, it will be very appreciated, thank-you

I couldnt contact the person without paying but a lot of interesting information! I found the Thomas and Nellie's marriage and the children!
