Re: Bangham and Garbett

The witnesses to George and Frances marriage were
James Weston & Elizabeth Weston
I was just looking at your link peterd and I think this couple might be "Uncle" James Weston born 1836 and his wife Elizabeth Homer
Frances' brother James seems a little young.

Re: Bangham and Garbett

I don't have George & Frances cert. with me.

It seems to me the witnesses were a couple with the last name beginning with W could have been Weston or Western.
I will check when I get home tonight. 7 hours from now

Cheers...Irene 8)

Re: Bangham and Garbett

Sorry life stepped in and I couldn't get back to this. OK - I do not have confirmation on the parents for William Grainger or Hannah Cartwright, but I do for George's wife Frances Cartwright. I am also unsure that Frances & Hannah are sisters but I am not ruling it out until I have the cert. Bor...

Re: Bangham and Garbett

Thanks for all the help.

This may be a silly question. How do I get a cert of this marriage between Thomas Bangham and Mary Garbett :?:

All the the certificates that I have ordered before have been after 1837.

Have a great day. It is almost midnight here (Vancouver) and still raining.

How to Record Name Changes

Hello Everyone I have a unique problem which I am sure one of your experts can help me with. I have family members that were born with one name, census and marriage records show a different spelling and then it changes again 10 years later (all these were a similar spelling of a name that is pronoun...

Re: New User from Canada

Thank you all for the welcome. I will certainly try the general discussion pages. I have only recently "found" tribal pages and Black Country Connections. While searching there I have found a connection who has been most helpful and has actually put me in touch with a living relative for o...

New User from Canada

I have never used a Genealogy Forum before so I guess I am hoping you will be able to guide me in the right directions. Most of my family on both sides are from the Black Country originally and I believe some still live there. My grandfather's family are the ones I am having the most difficulty with...
