Septimus Bills
I've been doing some work on the family of Septimus Bills and Hannah Forrest and have noticed some differences to the information on BCC. Hannah, on the 1911 census, RG14 Piece 17465 (Schedule 85), claims to have had 18 children, 9 of whom were still living at the time of the census. So far I have d...

Re: Angelina Bills
Yes, thats the right one. I don't have a copy of the BC, but the index entry is from the GRO website is: BILLS, ANGELINE; Mother's maiden name: BAYLISS GRO Reference: 1863 J Quarter in STOURBRIDGE Volume 06C Page 172 I agree with the 1891 census entry, it seems to fit with the other information I ha...

Re: The Rounds of Dudley-NL adding some
Thanks, I would appreciate that. I'm trying to connect my wife's Rounds with those of a 2nd-4th cousin DNA match, so I may pop up here from time to time with some more info.

Re: The Rounds of Dudley
Jabez did marry twice, but his first wife, Sarah Ann died less than a year after they were married. Their son, Samuel Frederick died in the same year, 1875. I suspect that Sarah died in childbirth as her death and Samuel's birth registration are both in the same quarter. I have a copy of Jabez' wedd...

The Rounds of Dudley-NL adding some
I have been doing some work on the Round family in Dudley to which my wife is linked. I noted that there is not much information about Jabez Edward Frederick Round, son of Samuel Round and Hannah Holt, on Black Country Connections, so I though I'd post here what I have found out so far with the thou...

Re: The mysterious dissappearing Attwood family
Not quite ... Where are Alfred and Mary's older children, Thomas and Alfred? Did they emigrate too, or did they stay in England? Where did Caroline get married? Why are there two christenings for Alfred/Alfred Joseph, one in 1867 and one in 1868. Did one Alfred die? Just noticed that this branch is ...

Re: The mysterious dissappearing Attwood family
Seems like they emigrated, then
Thanks for the replies. I don't have an ancestry subscription that covers the US, which is probably why I didn't spot them. I wonder how come they got to emigrate?

ARC TBC..........The mysterious dissappearing Attwood family
I was checking some remote bits of my wife's tree, in particular the family of one Alfred Attwood, b1845 in Cradley. He married Mary Howell on 25 September 1864 at St Thomas' in Dudley, and had several children, all born in Cradley if the censuses are to be believed: Thomas 1866 Alfred 1868 Selina (...

Re: Mary Tromans
I think Benjamin Tromans' wife Phebe on the 1841 census is Phebe Hingley (IGI Batch No.: M040144; Dates: 1813 - 1818; Source Call: 0378765), possibly the daughter of Samuel Hingley and Sarah WIllets (although she would have only been about 17 at thetime of the marriage). I can't see a connection bet...

Re: Mary Tromans
Hi Linell
Perhaps he just caught her on a bad day
Then again, I have a feeling some of the family may have been Baptists. Bit of inter-faith friction, perhaps
