Re: Birth of Isaac JONES c1832
What's puzzled me is that on the 1851 Census Joseph and Sarah have children : Thomas aged 21, Isac 18, James 16, Ester 14, William 12, Mary 8 and David 1. Sarah is stated as being born in Yorkshire parish not known. On the 1861 Census they have daughter Harriet aged 29, grandaughter Jane 15 mths, so...

Yew Tree Lane Rowley Regis
YEW TREE LANE in Rowley Regis
Please does anyone have any knowledge of Yew Tree Lane in Rowley Regis. My WHILE family lived at number 6 during the 1891 census and were still there during the 1911 census. Prior to that they lived at Tump Road, Rowley Regis.
Thank you.

Re: Look up done for Poppygirl! - re Joseph Jones&Sarah j Cooper
Thank you everyone. I was told this site was fast, but WOW I didn't think it would be this fast. The HADLEY connection is interesting. My grandfather Isaac JONES b 1892 was married to Thyrza Ann WHILE (spelt WHYLE on her marriage lines, WILD on her birth certificate and WHILE on censuses). Her mothe...

Re: Look up done for Poppygirl! - re Joseph Jones&Sarah j Cooper
Thank you, that's excellent. So I'll tell you what I know from the censuses - Isaac JONES b about 1830 was married to Hannah (Unknown surname). They had twelve children I believe as follows: Sarah JONES c1855 Amplis/Amphyllis JONES c1856 Joseph JONES (my great grandad) 1847 Rosannah JONES c1860 Isaa...

Re: John WHILE
Yes, this is definitely the right WHILE family. I have them on all the censuses except 1871. I've tried all variations of spelling that I can think of. The difficulty I have with the suggestion of sending for both birth certificates but asking them only to send the one with father John is that it's ...

Re: John WHILE
The father's name was John too. I will do as you suggest and hope that one of them has a different named father.
Thank you for the suggestion.

I'm looking for the birth certificate of my great grandfather John WHILE.
