Re: Comfort Nock
Was a long shot which closes my research into Comfort Nock as got nowhere else to go in my search to find out who she was. Wonder how long Will was in the Army for ? with his Mum being next of kin he would assume to have joined up after his father Benjamin died in February 1917 and therefore only th...

Re: Comfort Nock
Interesting that the Groom Joseph Nock abode is recorded as 8 Lake Street whereas the family’s residence is down as 55 Lake Street in the 1911 census and the 1921 census and in the 1911 census Benjamin head of house occupation is Green Grocer rather than Fruitier.

Re: Comfort Nock
Thanks for all the info, that closes the Avenue off that Comfort was the wife of Joe.
Is there any possibility that you can find out whether William Nock was married and to who ? he perished in WW1 at the age of 22 in 1917 the same year his father Benjamin died.

Re: Comfort Nock
Didn’t think about Will being married as he was 22 when he died in WW1. Can rule out Josiah as we found out his wife’s name which wasn’t Comfort, and cannot find a marriage for Joe.

Re: Comfort Nock
My sister who was born in 58 remembers meeting Comfort so that memory must be from the 60s.

Re: Comfort Nock
Yea that’s the family, I have that info but can’t as you can see find any reference to a Comfort Nock. Can only think she’s a Nock through marriage to Joseph Nock but that’s a guess.
