thanks for the welcome. I have to confess that I'm a bit more northern than you think - so northern that I'm Scottish!!

(But I did manage a pub in West Bromwich for a brief spell.)

Are marriage banns stored anywhere? I am trying to find an ancestor and wondered if the banns might yeild some helpful information.
