thank you Jimmy is that usually the case that army personnel have two service numbers? That's him definitely from Homewood looks like he was medically discharged then? so if I searched him ie where he was in ww1 what number would you use... many thanks for this information much appreciated kp

yeah he came over by all accounts after the war ,he never went back to Rowley Regis he met my grandmother ...settled in holmewood
