Fourth Anglo Dutch War - POWs 1782
Hi, I am looking for POW records of an ancestor that was captured onboard a DEIC Ship the Held Woltemade by Commodore George Johnstone on 1 July 1781 during the Fourth Anglo Dutch War. The ship with its valuable cargo was taken as a prize and the DEIC Skipper was repatriated in 1783 back to Holland....
