Can the archives be viewed?

I don't have any paperwork at all.

The main initial interest in Kate & Alice was to see if they provided the America link by marrying a Powell.This was heightened when they 'disappeared' after the census.

I had overlooked Kate marrying Hancox as she is not referred to as Kate E anywhere else.

I also had both of Alice's boys as dying during the war.

There was a possibility that Kate travelled to America and I found a Kate Barrett with the same DOB on a ships list in 1910.

Kate and Alice were sisters and daughters of Benjamin Barrett and Mary Ann (Crupmton)

I lose them both after the 1911 census.

Yes, that's right. Albert Edward, John Leonard and Ada. The two boys/men died in the war.

Elsie Rebecca's mum was Alice Barrett, unmarried at the time. Alice later married Albert Stafford.

The only thing that doesn't make sense about the Jessie found, is that she wrote to my father, Roy Francis Allen, after the death of my nan (Elsie Barrett/Allen). nan died in 1994.

I have found Benjamins sister Sarah married Thomas Powell and went to live in Pennsylvania . This is the info i have for Sarah Barrett. Jessie was female and was alive in 1984. It is feasible that she is Julia's daughter.

I need to find her marriage next.

That's the thing. I cannot find them on Pittsburgh nor the UK. I only know that they were related to the Barrett side of the family.

Jessie and Elizabeth are both female.

They lived in Pittsburgh certainly for all of their adult lives and died between 1980 and 2000.

Elsie Rebecca DOB was 1907, sorry!

All those are I believe correct.

I lose them both after the 1911 census where they are lodging in Portland Dorset.

My grandmother was born in Halesowen in 1909.

Hi Jessie & Elizabeth are relations of my grandmother, Elsie Rebecca Allen nee Barrett. I believe that they were UK born but lived in Pittsburgh. Elizabeth remained a spinster but Jessie married, ?married name Kinder and had children. I haven't been able to find any trace of them. Thanks Patrick

Kate 1892 (?Wolverhampton ast seen on 1911 census in Portland)
