Re: UHTHOFF - WEALTHY VICTORIAN FAMILY
I wonder if Priscilla was looking after Violet, Horace and Claude so that their mothers could work, or if Claude's father Enrique was paying for Annie's rent and how long Annie and Claude lived there - if Enrique lived with his family and just visited - or lived at 133 Finborough Road with Annie, we...

Could you post the context?
I've looked further back into the directory, Priscilla (May) is listed under Trades, Letters Of literally means in alphabetical order.

I'll just toss this out since I found it and the names may mean something to you. m (Includes copy draft postnuptial marriage settlement of Edmund Howard Reynolds of 133 Finborough Road , West Brompton, Mddx, and his wife Janet Rose, daughter of James and Angelica McAdam, 1873.) Re: UHTHOFF - WEALTHY VICTORIAN FAMILY
I don't think it is connected except by the address. If you search BNA with "133 Finborough Road" in quotations then a few come up, saying same thing about loans, and some others about a furniture sale (I don't have a subscription). £alrs:, &c. SALE OF HOUSEHOLD FURNITCBE, &c.. AT...

Thank you, there are so many scenarios over family life and circumstances. No I haven't seen the notices for instant cash - where did you see them please, newspapers, which one, date - I have a British Newspapers Archive subscription but didn't notice that and still can't find, thank you. Did step-father Arthur Henry Parnall die in 1911 in Manhattan, New York?
When Claude Henry Parnall/Uhthoff marries in 1923 he says his father Arthur Henry Parnall is deceased.
