His age at the time of marriage gives 1600-1601 as the year of his birth. I have two mentions of this placename (in two different Dutch towns, both from 1630) but I am unable to put pics (scans) in here, so you'll have to trust me on the spelling (Kintum and Kyntum respectively). At this time I'm working on a Dutch family named Knowles. The patriarch was one Richard Knowles, glove maker, who came from England early in the 1600's, to Amsterdam and parts North.
