I personally stick with Ancestry alone - easier to use one tool at a time instead of two.

Seconded. Even as an adult I love visiting this museum!

Tribal Pages and Ancestry seem like the established places for doing this on the web.

Afraid I can't be of much help with specific software solutions.

This kinda makes me feel small...

I only have a few cousins and grandparents from both sides. Record-keeping wasn't a big thing in our family until the 20th century.

I'm someone who joined a few weeks ago but didn't get around to posting. I'm hoping that I can learn more about genealogy and the best practices for doing research into your family!
