In 1871 he was listed asWilliam Thomas and living with his mother who by then was called Elizabeth Southern. I then found this: *Arc tbc* --Possible Connections on BCC Postby kdw » Sun Sep...

Re: William Tromans born 1856 and Mather Tromans

Thanks for that, but I don't think she is the one.
The 1871 census has Mirah Tromans age 19 who is a dressmaker living with Thomas and Maria Clee. Mirah Tromans is a daughter so I presume that Maria , Thomas Clee's wife, married a 2nd time.

Thanks Jimmy.
If it is her, it appears she was christened the month that she was born. Still can't find out what happened after 1861.

Re: Angelina Tromans

Thomas Tromans died in Cornwall in 1863 at Brodriggy (Cornwall OPC). Angelina was 19 when she married in 1883 which make her birth year 1864 and it is possible that she is Thomas's daughter. The marriage has her naming her father Thomas. I think that when ThomasTromans died his widow was pregnant a...

Re: Angelina Tromans

Thank-you both. The only thing that I know about Angelina/Alexandra is what I have read in the census. In 1891 she was born in Kingswinford and the 1891 and 1901 census Quarrybank. In the 1891 census there is a mark in the relation to head before 'do', but I can't see what it is. Thomas Tromans is s...

Re: Angelina Tromans

I think the Thomas surname is a mistranscibed version for Troman. I agree with you. I looked at the actual census and it looks like Thomas . It is the correct family because one of the family was born in Cornwall, which bears out the census when the family were in Cornwall. Maybe the enumerator mis...
