Re: Fredric(k) Bartlett Little

Dear Gardener, Brilliant work indeed. I've passed this on to the other people in the family that are interested. I wish there was some way I could thank you for all this. It takes someone new to look at things. Your skill and tenacity are most appreciated. Kind Regards Keefypops

Re: Fredric(k) Bartlett Little

Hi, A big thank you to Gardener for adding this information. I was not sure how much to put in the first posting and am grateful for this. Several members of my wife's family have been trying to find the illusive" FBL" for quite some time. We think he had moved away from the family well be...

Re: Benjamin Loynes born abt 1850 Clent, Worc

Thanks mallossa. It seems that in the mid nineteenth century there seems to have been more consistent approach to spelling the name Loines rather than the earlier versions. I'm not quite sure why, perhaps a teacher influenced the spelling when people started to learn to read and write. My grandfather...

Re: Loines/loins/loyns/lines etc

Hi, I have emailed the records office in the vain hope that some kind soul could will confirm that the Death Register is extant and where it is, given the boundary change in the same decade. I have asked if they could confirm the date of death reported. There is no point getting another copy as clea...

Re: Benjamin Loynes born abt 1850 Clent, Worc

I'm pretty confident that a Benjamin Loines ended up in Lancashire as did several of the" Loines/Loyns/Lines et al" people.
My grandfather recalled a Ben Loines working at one of the large estates there presumably as a coachman.

Re: Loines/loins/loyns/lines etc

Hi , I have searched high and low and can't find my copy of the 1843 death info. My cousin may have a copy and I am awaiting a response to an email to him. As I remember it wasn't particularly clear anyway. I haven't seen the gravestone or MI, all I have is what has been provided ex Amplett ( Worces...
