At this point I'm still only assuming it's my Mordecai as I didn't think Mordecai Skelton would have been a common name but I could obviously be very wrong about that!

Thank you for replying. I do, I have both his Mother and Father's names and where they were married. By the looks of it his Father was baptised in Cathedral Saint Peter, Sheffield, York and then married in the parish of Sheffield in the County of York but there's no note on it of which Church.
