Re: Cholera death certificate.

Certainly a possibility, but I didn't think that sort of classification started until 1874, with the introduction of the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death. I did look at all the death certificates I could find from before 1874 and that classification wasn't on any of them.

Cholera death certificate.

CholeraCauseOfDeath.jpg I have a copy of a death certificate for a John Albert Supple, died 5Aug1849. I am having difficulty reading part of the "cause of death" section. The attachment is just the section, the whole certificate was too big and reducing its size made it less readable. My ...

Re: Annie Walker nee Goodman. Born 10-Mar-1864, Died ?

I've checked all the 1901 census records that I can find for Annie Walker and for her daughter Laura (or Daisy as she was always known in the family) without any results. I guess I'm just going to have to accept that either they were missed or were using other names. Either way, that means I'm not g...

Re: Peter (Alfred Peter, Peter Alfred or Peter James) McMill

Thanks for that Maybelle, I had also concluded that he was probably a Traveller. It would have been good to find out for sure, and especially figure out where he had come from. My wife is a great grand-daughter of Margaret McMillan, the eldest daughter. My wife's grandmother Jessie Webb was 5 years o...

Re: Peter (Alfred Peter, Peter Alfred or Peter James) McMill

I have looked at criminal records whenever they've come up but not a systematic search. Wouldn't know how or where to start that. One complication is his forename(s). I have it on 6 documents, 5 birth certificates and a census. Different on every one. Just makes searching more difficult and produces...

That tree is mine, and the date is one of dates given on his daughters' birth certificates.

Re: Peter (Alfred Peter, Peter Alfred or Peter James) McMill

Well this is not good, I was sort of hoping for a "Have you seen this" or "have you looked here", but I guess it's not going to be a quick fix. Any ideas anyone?

Future Proofing

I'm wondering if anyone has looked into future proofing their Genealogical Research. As an example of what I mean. I have an extensive family tree that is stored on FTM, linked to a tree on Ancestry. I also have a quantity of paper and photgraphic records and a small Access database. At some point i...

ARC TBCPeter (Alfred Peter, Peter Alfred or Peter James)

Looking for help, guidance for information on Peter McMillan, probably born about 1852, possibly in Inverness-shire, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The following is all I can find and definitely tie to him. Lots of other candidates but no connections that I can find. Emma Jane Reeves, ...

Re: Annie Walker nee Goodman. Born 10-Mar-1864, Died ?

All I have to do now is find out where she, and her daughter Laura (Daisy) were for the 1901 census, and why she was in Bristol.

Re: Annie Walker nee Goodman. Born 10-Mar-1864, Died ?

Benjamin and family were definitely in Portsmouth by 1901 and I've no information to indicate any other locations once he was discharged from the Army in 1897. Nice try though.
