someone looked up the avondale cemetry records for me and sent the list and a rumour from family in the usa came to light that he had died about 1950 so the timeframe is about right.

i think i have finaly found benjamin skidmore,intered at avondale cemetery stratford perth ontario on 20/04/1950 next to his mother and father thanks every one for all the help.

hi,yes thats not the right benjamin the birth date is wrong,his father died in 1933 and lived at 21 chesnut street stratford ontario,and according to his death record lived there with his son benjamin and wife.his father william is buried in avondale cemetry in stratford ontario.cheers kev

the girls were sent to england with his sister in law the three boys were left to fend for themselves,the 1925 border crossing states he was going to see his father in stratford,he died in 1933 and his death record states he lived with his son benjamin and his wife,so i think he must have remarried ...

no thats true but he left with no money or very little 3.50 i think it said on his crossing document and after he abandons his kids i cant see a reason for him to return.i do think canada is the place to find him.

he is in canada in 1935 on a voters list at his fathers house so i presume he went in 1925 and stayed.

hi his first wife had died when he made that crossing to canada,its after then when i am looking for him or his second wife.thanks kevin

hi,this has been moved to brick wall but the benjamin skidmore i have been looking for for quite a few years,i have found a bit more info.he crossed from rhode island to stratford ontario august 25 1925 to go to to his father william.he also shows up on a 1935 voters list with a wife in stratford it...

yes northern lass,i have him there its what happened when he abandonded his children from about 1923 or 1924,no one can find a trace of him anywhere from that date.thaks for the eade deaths will start there with that one.

its realy the eade connection i am after and who married who when they all went to canada and who is adaline skewis shown on the rhode island deaths for eleanor i have no idea who she was,think i will go for a pint now its hurting my head all this thinking.cheers to everybody.
