Re: Hazlewood Query--
Have found a death record for a Nancy Mills Name: Nancy Mills Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1860 Registration District: West Bromwich Inferred County: Staffordshire Volume: 6b Page: 3[79]1 Which seems about right if she was still living in Langley in 1860. She would be age 78. Hope its the righ...

Re: Hazlewood Query--NL adding
Further to the previous post (which I forgot to add) .... On the 1851 Census Nancy Mills's place of birth was recorded as Langley, which would still fit in with possibility (1). However, doesn't seems to fit in with possibility (2a) ??? Why would she be Christened in Oldswinford if she was born in ...

Re: Hazlewood Query--NL adding
Spent a hour or so this morning trawling through the Parish Records for St John the Baptist, Halesowen for years 1782 to 1785 inclusive. No sign of any Nancy Hazard, or anything else like Nancy Hazlewood, or any other f Hazlewood !!! So it looks to me like either ...... 1) Nancy Mills was born a Haz...

Re: Hazlewood Query--NL adding
Someone on Ancestry has her name as Nancy Hazard ? Born 1783 in Langley If this was the Nancy Mills on the 1841 Census, she would be age 57 in 1841. She is actually recorded in 1841 as being age "50" (though I know these are only approximate ages). On the 1851 Census she is recorded as be...

Re: Hazlewood Query--NL adding
If Betsy Mills birth certificate was obtained it would give mothers maiden name . I'm a novice at all of this but I thought that birth registration in the UK wasn't introduced until 1837. Assuming the 1841 Census information is correct, Betsy Mills (who was 8 in 1841) would have been born in c 1833...

Re: Hazlewood Query
I have been trying to find the link between Hannah Hazlewood (born c 1766) and Timothy Hazlewood (born 26/09/1790, Baptised 24/10/1790) both living in Titford Lane Oldbury in 1841 Census, via the Nancy Mills who is shown living with Hannah Hazlewood in 1841. I was fairly sure that this Hannah Hazlew...

Re: Hazlewood Query
I've been looking at this issue for some time, and much of what I've found out has already been posted. However, I can add the following .... St Martins, Birmingham, parish records should show the marriage of: 23/10/1809 Timothy Hazlewood Hannah Whitehouse (though I haven't been able to check this a...
