I have to say this is one of the most interesting ones that I have ever seen! besides my own William Rose saga. My own view is just get that birth certif via GRo it will cost you 9.25 rather than 10 quid via the registry office and I wouldnt put any mothers name on it cos she might go under another...

NL, I was looking at the map and was thinking borough, maybe Worsbrough or Mexborough, both north of Eckington.

I am trying to trace the parents of William France birth abt 1868, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Married to Maria Hunt on 22 Feb 1892, Eckington, Derbyshire.
Children: Arnold, Ethel, Edith, William, Cyril, Hayla and Bramwell France.
