Hi, I have managed to trace my Mother's Talbot line back to James Talbot 1738-1801 M. Phyllis Mattews 1734-1801 they were at the Coach and Horses in Cradley Forge. Thanks for having a look at this.
I had seen the Benjamin Berrington (later sentenced to death for stealing mail caught when he used a large amount of cash to buy a colliers suit) & wondered if he was our black sheep. She could have been living at West Brom. I did'nt know about the water thing.

I have found Ruth Barrington / Berrington (nee Clarke) 1783-1880 on all the census bar 1841. she was born in Shropshire @ married William Barrington 26/03/1810. I think he died in 1839. The witness of the marriage Henry Langford was married to Williams sister Martha & Mary Ann Beddington was his unmarried sister who later married a Cooper. No idea why Rebecca married as Hannah if she was christened as Rebecca though!

Hi, I have a birth cert for Maria Berrington, maiden name given for Rebecca is Jukes. I will ask for a look up for the William Beddington /Hannah cert.
