didnt parents used to say not to go out without wearing clean underwear in case you got run over........

surely if you had been run over there would be several stains on your underwear lol

i have just found another interesting fact. I have a copy of a marriage certificate of AMy read and Herbert helliwell. THis is my distant relatives Great grandmother and great grandfather. The witnesses to the marriage are MY great grand father and great grandmother.

yes and no, we know our great great grandad lived in brooklyn usa for a while as two of his children (including the great grandmother of this distant relative) were born there, they then lived about 40 miles away for a while before moving to the town we live in now. the curious thing is that the dis...

ahhhhh my mistake, i hadnt realised you would have to purchase a paper copy to get a digital one too, that does make it expensive

I wouldnt order any certificates from Ancestry they are far too expensive! Use either a local registry office or from the GRO m Anything pre 1837 you will have to rely on parish records. The web site cid gave is free. Jo im not so sure about this, i do know that some records on Ancestry you can get...
