i have just found another interesting fact. I have a copy of a marriage certificate of AMy read and Herbert helliwell. THis is my distant relatives Great grandmother and great grandfather. The witnesses to the marriage are MY great grand father and great grandmother.

I wouldnt order any certificates from Ancestry they are far too expensive! Use either a local registry office or from the GRO m Anything pre 1837 you will have to rely on parish records. The web site cid gave is free. Jo im not so sure about this, i do know that some records on Ancestry you can get...
