They must have gone to Canada sometime between their marriage on Dec 20th 1882 & the birth of their eldest
child Alice (my grandmother)in Wellington BC in 1885. Unfortunately I haven`t been able to find out a date.

Forgot witness details in last post! They were Emily Jane Creed & Frank Farr. I don`t know if they were related or not,but it will be worth checking.

On the marriage certificate William`s occupation is listed as coal miner, at least that`s what I make it to be. His place of residence is Dorking, no address! I`ve tried the census records, but couldn`t find any trace of William or John. I`ll try looking up the info you have kindly given - many than...
