Re: It's back on!

Just saw it's back on, I've had my daughter over from Germany for a couple of weeks, so I'm only now catching up with lots of things. Great news but so sorry it caused so much stress.

Re: Tribute to Jimmy our dear friend and fellow researcher.

Thank you Rob and Mallosa, it's been a tough few months but she had wonderful care in the Home where she'd been for nearly 4 years. Mum passed away peacefully in her lovely room. I'd been with her 4 days earlier (I now live in SW Wales,) she'd drunk coffee with me and we talked and laughed. My son w...

Re: Tribute to Jimmy our dear friend and fellow researcher.

So sorry to hear this sad news, although it's been a long time since I was involved in family research, I remember him with affection. I know we connected somewhere along our lines, I will have to refresh my memory on this. With regards to the funeral for Jimmy, sadly my Mum passed away on the 26th ...

Re: Happy Heavenly Birthday to Sparkstopper

The family name was actually Turney but Kate turned up before her parents married, hence the different surname. Kate and Lawrence had a ...

Re: Happy Heavenly Birthday to Sparkstopper

It was really strange to find my London Husband connected to his family. Wish I'd found this out sooner.

Re: Happy Birthday to Mally!

Glad to hear it.

It's good that we're returning to something near normal life. The last 2 years have stopped so many celebrations. x

Re: A HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY to Sparkstopper

It was very sad and unexpected news and was shortly after we'd been in touch, as my Husband has a family connection to the Westons, he put me in touch with an older cousin in Quinton, who knew my Mother in law well. Sadly she has also dropped out of contact.

Re: Let the good times roll!

Still very hot in New Quay, not the best of days to be cleaning out our caravan ready for guests. At least I had a beach day with swims yesterday.

Just wanted to know he hadn't been swept away. Strange how we can be melting in the heat and they had such appalling weather.
