Another question. Its my first time using ancestry.co.uk for searching records. Ive been using scotlandspeople since all family so far have been from scotland. When searching for births of john joseph woodman 1844, it shows this FREEBMD. when clicking on an image it shows the name but a page number ...

Cheers guys, for just now ill assume they are a complete family and not a nephew, Until i have other evidence that is.

overton in lancashire seem to have a website for births marriage and deaths so ill have a look there

ARC...........Census and Marriage certificate

Morning guys,

I have a marriage certificate from someone in the family ( John Joseph Woodman) . The marriage certificate lists Joseph Woodman and Alice Woodman ( Airton ) as his parents. but looking on the census (1851) he is listed as a nephew. which one is correct?

Hi thanks for the replies. It is from a marriage certificate from dundee, angus, scotland. i got the john hawthorne its the maiden name of the lassie i was tryng to figure out. It is isobella Mc**** i thought mckenzie but it looks more like mckongie but no idea i will try and upload the whole docume...
