Has anyone come across a George KEYS born approx 1840 son of Thomas KEYS a Labourer married Jane Mc GIBBON on the 18th April 1862 at St Annes Belfast,Unfortunately both died before the 1901 census ,so I have no idea where they may have been born.I have checked the English 1841 census but cannot find...

Mallosa, Thank you for your swift replyI have come across this problem before withTOY,TOYE,TAY,TAYE and even TYE,I suppose when you are dealing with people who possibly could not read or write the spelling is in the hands of the Scribe and how he thinks the name is spelt with the different dialects ...
