I agree - I think the Sarah listed there is incorrect.

Further evidence for this Thomas to have married Sarah Raybould is that one of the witnesses at his and Sarah's son's Philip's wedding to Ann Whitmore in 1836 is Maria Raybould

Re: Thomas Foley Edward Foley and Martha Dank(e)s

I have just seen a transcription of that birth and Christening... Can I thank you please very much for taking the time and replying. It is appreciated. I have seen a number of researchers claim that Edward Foley (born 1759, parents Edward and Betty/Elizabeth) married Elizabeth Cooksey and then rema...

Re: Thomas Foley Edward Foley and Martha Dank(e)s

Is this the family on BCC? m I'll need to check back in my notes and retrace my steps. I have Thomas Foley marrying Sarah Raybould 31/12/1815. On the 1841 census in addition to the Foley children listed, there are two other people listed: Phoebe Raybold, aged 60 and Mary Ann Parsons, aged 20 There ...

Yes - with the possibility of Edward's parents being Edward Foley (born approx 1732) and Elizabeth/Betty..

In turn, this EDward's parents are potentially Philip Foley and Mary Powney

Thomas Foley Edward Foley and Martha Dank(e)s More to follow

Thank you in advance for reading this. Grail for me is linking the Foley/Cooksey line to the Foleys of Witley Court. As I inch closer to achieving this, I seem to hit further unexpected snags. THis particular conundrum is one of those snags. Any insight/advice/guidance/help will be very much appreci...

Re: Burial Location for Rebecca Foley - help/advice please

Thank you - I've just gone through the enumeration districys (learned something new again tonight - thank you!) Enumeration districts 24 - 34 inclusive cover Coseley. Just got to track down 'Deepfields Square' now. On modern maps, there is no actual place 'Deepfields Square', merely an area called '...

Re: Burial Location for Rebecca Foley - help/advice please

Well - I'm still struggling with this.

Is it possible to search the 1851 census by location. We know where they are resident in June of that year?

Best Wishes

Re: Burial Location for Rebecca Foley - help/advice please

I spent several hours on this last night and anoyjer hour now. All I can think of is that there has been a serious transcription error. The family is good at registering births and deaths Rebecca would have been mid yo late pregnancy with Kezia at the time of the census. There would be no reason for...

Re: Burial Location for Rebecca Foley - help/advice please

In June 1851 when Kezia is born the family appears to be living in 'Deepfield Square' , Coseley, Sedgley.

But I can't find them in 1851 either They must be there somewhere though!

Best Wishes
David
