Does it make you sad?
I just wondered how other people feel when they find out stuff about their ancestors. Today I realised that one of my ancestors had 6 children, but two of those died in infancy, one of whom was a twin. This is in about 1850. And then I found a woman who died leaving a child no older than 3 years old...

OK, I couldn't find any on that site. But when I search FreeBMD on Ancestry I get two that are pretty much identical. Both Oldham, 1905 and Oct-Nov-Dec.
There's no real way of knowing is there? Would this be where I just order the birth certificate to find out?

He definitely died in Royton, Oldham, Lancashire. And was more than likely born there too. Almost certainly Lancashire - but could be Middleton, Shaw, Oldham, Rochdale if not Royton.
