G'day
You may already have this but I've only recently found a great site related to convicts transported to Tasmania:
http://www.founders-storylines.com
If you go to the mugshots section you get full details on some of the individual records. For example this one:

Re: James QUsomething or other
Thanks Adrian for the advice it's been most helpful. I'm pretty much convinced the surname is Quaife and have determined from various sources his date of birth and his death & burial details. Unfortunately it hasn't provided a solution as to Caroline's story.

James QUsomething or other
G'day Had a small breakthrough in relation to one of my Yorkshire great-great grandmother's siblings. Seems the sister [Caroline] was transported to the antipodes for stealing a watch. There is evidence that Caroline married a James Quiet in New Norfolk Tasmania in 1854. Then the well runs dry. Furt...

G'day
There's 2 Ada Holt's on BCC both born in 1891 in Yorkshire - I reckon they're the same. Please discuss.

1851 for Fletchers ARC TBC
Hi Having found the following family in 1841 [at Constitution Hill] & in 1861 [at Oakey Well Street Dudley] and later up around Middlesbrough I still can't locate them in 1851. In 1849 they may have lived in Farthings Lane Richard Fletcher born circa 1816; his wife Hannah born circa 1818; and th...

ARC TBC - DIMMOCKS IN DURHAM
G'day Can't prove these definitively but I'll throw them up for discussion anyway. Parish records show burials in 1832 at Hetton Le Hole St Nicholas for: Diana Dymock [born circa 1810]; William Dymock [born circa 1807]; & Sarah Dimmock [born circa 1811] These seem to fit the following on BCC: m ...

Re: Prudence Edge
G'day
The gravestones are in Howard Cemetery, Queensland.
There's a death in 11926 for an Emma Bullock [father Samuel: mother Emma Clay] on the Queensland online historical index.
On the same index there's the death in 1932 of William Bullock [father Isiah; mother Ellen Turley].

Re: Prudence Edge
Tracked this down - believe it to be Samuel Tibbetts. Funny thing his wife doesn't show up in the cemetery. Prudence's second husband, William Bullock, is there along with his first wife Samuel's sister Emma!
