Re: Baptism question

Hi Jo,

Sorry for the lack of response to your question. I think I have found him at another address in same area. His father died shortly after census date so I'm thinking (at the moment) he was spending time with his father as it looks as though these were the last few days of his life.

Re: Ordering from BMSGH

Searched for Cradley (Worcestershire) parish records but nothing at all. It looks as though the only thing available at the moment are the fiche. Been keeping an eye on E-bay for a fiche-reader. Will give it a few weeks to see if one comes up close to home and at a good price! For now I will order f...

Re: Ordering from BMSGH

Thanks all. The fiche reader makes it a bit of hassle! At the moment I would like Worcester, Cradley, Park Lane Presbyterian. BMSGH have it on fiche: Bapts 1735-1837 inc a few burials. It is the date range for baptisms I would like. The thing that attracted me was the price. I was thinking of orderi...

Re: A Sad Day For Cadbury's ?

It is a shame, not only for the 400 or so families that will loose a wage but also the loss of a company that we brits have grown up with. I'm afraid it is just another example of how we are slowly 'selling up' here and OUR way of life is changing beyond recognition. Not so long ago if something had...

Re: Death Register District?

Thanks for input dudleylad. I might be totally off the mark here but when I look on Ancestry they give a district where registration took place i.e Evesham, Stow on the wold etc. I just wondered if the district BlockHouse would appear if a death was able to be registered there? Nothing at moment on ...

Re: Baptism question

Thanks Mark, As both did not have to be present that probably means he was not there and tells me I need to look further into him and his whereabouts in 1841. There is no obvious question of the parentage. The Parents were married four years prior. For some unknown reason (as yet) the father is not ...
