Re: GEDCOM Files

GEDCOM files do not include images or any other sort of attached files.

GEDCOM is simply an agreed format for the interchange of _data_. Search on Wikipedia for details and an example.

Re: This is how to take care of protestors...

I think that probably depends on whether you believe that the greedy banks should be allowed to get away with the problems that they have brought to ordinary people or whether ordinary people should be allowed to make their views known. I certainly know that I think that it is disgusting for bankers...

ARC TBC...........PR Brewood Lookup request

If anybody gets the chance can they look for Samuel Daw burial on 2 March 1819 and give me any details.

The PR's are lodged with Staffs Record Office and I can't locate another copy.

Thanks.

Re: &%#@**&! Windows 7

But what about the important stuff, your data? Programmes can always be re-installed even if it takes time. Data is irreplaceable. Always keep your data on a separate partition because then anything affecting your operating system will not affect your data. Personally I keep mine on a separate parti...

PAF4 /5 and Win 7 x64

I have used PAF4 (prefer it to PAF5) with WinXP for many years but now is the time to move with the times and I am about to go over to Win 7 64bit.

Anybody any experience with this combination?

Cheers,

ARC TBC - Samuel & Jane Daw - Curdworth?

My interest in one of my brickwalls has recently been revived by a thread on this forum so here are the details: My 2x Great Grandfather, Joseph Daw, was baptised in Curdworth on 6 March 1814 to Samuel & Jane Daw, Plant's Brook Forge. (Curdworth PR) Plant's Brook Forge was at Walmley Ash, Sutton...

Re: Fownes Descendants

Linell,

But you originally said "...she was born Rowley Regis though not Halesowen".

This is the comment that I was responding to.

Does this end the matter?

Ann Fownes

To original posters/ responders,

I can confirm that a search of the Rowley register on CD shows no record of any type for Ann Fones or Fownes anywhere in the register (which is not complete, but covers the period involved). Ann was definately baptised in Halesowen.
