Thank you very much Mallosa. Apologies for delay in responding, I've had computer problems. Aunt Polly as I remember her, lived in Old Hill with daughters Nellie and Eva. She was bedridden having had both legs amputated due to gangrene. I remember it began with something heavy dropping on her foot and having one leg removed, it then spread to the other leg also and I recall my grandmother (Thyrza) talking about her having 'sugar' (diabetes). In the photo above you can see she still had one leg.
