This is a great photo!!1967?The Handel Hotel is still there opposite The Shoulder of Mutton.
The "Blackheath Eyesore" replaced The Handel Hotel later.
You can see the public conveniences that went under the island.Creepy place at night!! You wouldn't want to go down there on your own.It smelt as well!!
The road to Rowley Village past the church is clearly seen and Burtons The Tailors next to The Shoulder.Thats where i used to buy my suits made to measure.Edwin Starr days!!

In 1967 I used to go to the youth club at B'ham Rd Church(as well as the Sunday School). It's the one with the spire. I was also baptised and married there. Anyone else?
