Kindly supplied by Dennis

In this 2007 photo you'll see a thick grey horizontal girder which was the arch of the bridge, now bricked up, and the recessed two-storey butcher's shop above. The Loop Canal occupied the empty ground behind the metal fence in the foreground and the walls on either side.

The Oldbury Loop Canal which was cut in 1772 to follow the contours of the land and was filled in during the 1970s. The Bustle Bridge over the canal was on the main street of Oldbury, Birmingham Street, and supported shops and even a cinema, the Savoy. Photo shows the rear of what was formerly Bates the butchers which stood on the bridge, you could see the canal through the floorboards of the shop when I was a child.
