I used to pop in here,as an underage drinker, on my way to the dances at Langley Baths.It was a scruffy little pub then called The New Inns but the jukebox was brilliant.Here's where i first heard P.J. Proby.

Ah yes, P. J. Proby's "Somewhere" (1964)... We were obviously going to the same dances at Langley Baths too, Rob! The New Inns was a few yards above my grandparents Brown's fish and chip shop at 83 Station Road which they kept until the mid 1940s, no trace of it now. Mill Lane was always an experience to walk down, with the noise of the hammers and the heat...
