1939 Register Percival T J Moore

Postby SRD » Thu Dec 01, 2016 4:59 pm

Please would someone kindly look up the household of Percival Thomas Joseph Moore b 12th November 1878 in the 1939 Register.

If he isn't accompanied by his wife Eleanor Mary b 1872 please could you find that one too.

Thanks

Thanks, that's him, the Probate record suggests 14 Parkfield Road though. It looks like he's remarried though.

Can you find Eleanor Mary Moore (birth registered in December quarter and baptised 15th Dec 1872) possibly in Essex (her death was registered in 1945 at Braintree)

Indeed it is, she appears to have been housekeeper to Harry Yeats, who fathered three daughters by her (Doris, Gwendoline & Kate), but in 1904 she married Percival Thomas Joseph Moore (shown as a soldier on the marriage record, in 1911 he was with the Royal Garrison Artillery in Bermuda).

Harry Yeats married Ethel Maud Hopkins in 1907 and died in 1934 leaving £90004 18s.

As you've discovered, Percival Moore was in Feltham in 1939 with another woman, Bess. I can't find that marriage.

Eleanor's daughter Doris died in 1932 (registered at Braintree, Essex), her daughter Gwendoline married Reginald Henry Livingstone in 1932 (registered at Braintree, Essex), her daughter Kate died in 1905 (registered at Portsmouth, Hampshire). So I assume that the Eleanor M Moore who died in the September quarter of 1945 (registered at Braintree) is her. The dates relating to her daughters and her death suggest that she was living in the Braintree area in 1939 so I am hoping that those who have access to the 1939 register might be able to find her.

There is also an Eleanor M Moore who died in the June quarter of 1945 in Birmingham who may be relevant.

I'm still hoping for further info regarding:

Eleanor's daughter Gwendoline married Reginald Henry Livingstone in 1932 (registered at Braintree, Essex)
Eleanor Mary Moore herself, possibly in the Braintree area (death registered in Braintree 1945)

And the Eleanor M Moore who died in the June quarter of 1945 in Birmingham aged 73 if only to discount her.

Thanks.

Thanks for those. It all gets murkier as neither of them fits the birth date I've got, oh well, back to the drawing board.

This can either be archived or shifted to Brick Walls.
