Thanks, that's odd though, Norman's death record suggests 10th November 1896

On the image it has 96 but crossed the 6 out and 4 added.

Interesting, I wonder why, I have his birth registration as

Perhaps it is an error on the register?
The birth reg in 1897 could be because the birth was registered later.

Yes, it's not that unusual for my ancestors to leave registering the birth until the baptism, especially if they were non-conformists.
