I heard many years ago from a mate of mine from Shard End that a true Brummie was born within hearshot of "The St Andrews Roar"!!
Wot you think Mally?

I used to live not far from Shard End before I got married and never heard that Rob but if that's the case, I'm not a true brummie :(

Oh you've been Googling again Pete !! Anything to make me appear silly. 1906 was obviously when Birmingham City first played at St Andrews. Duh !!
Ok i was kidding but Mally believed me and now you've spoilt it for the young Brummie girl because you really can hear the roar of the crowd from St Andrews, if the attendance is good of course and i thought it was, what can i say? , poetic. Like The Bow Bells of London !! Yeah poetic.
